The race cut up a bit and ended up with just 5 runners due to the wet track and that suited this horse who is a real honest sort and really deserved this first grade one after coming so close before. Traveling in behind the leaders he made it look pretty easy in the end winning by a length and never really looking troubled. He should continue to run through the season and should be still there come November.

2nd The Hand Youre Dealt Mb Stables Pennington F

He was taken way back after breaking well enough but that was his undoing as the tactics cost him the race today. Flying home he grabbed second and he is another older horse who should keep the three year olds honest through to the BC.

3rd= Block Message Tiratzo Bejarano R

Got onto the pace on a fairly even average pace and battled on well to share third in the end.

3rd= Spanish Showboat Mb Stables Colon L H

For some reason both the Mb Stables horses were taken well back and given very little chance as the race was run at just an average pace. This great old horse got going to grab third but there must be a little doubt seeping in now that this fantastic old warrior is coming to the end of his great career.
