The El Camino at GG on Saturday evening may have produced as many questions as it did to answer any as we had a dead-heat for the win by a couple of 9/1 shots as the favorite finished tenth in the field of twelve.  The photo just couldn’t separate Turbocharged (my top choice) trained by Aer Stables and Two Buck Chuck, conditioned by Nakamura Stables (who drew in off of the AE list).  It was a half length back to Live To Fight in third, with Freakin Out in fourth.  The final running time was a pedestrian like 1:48.94 for the mile and an eighth main track stakes.  A replay of this one looks more like a merry-go-round than a thoroughbred horse race as the field stayed in their places and marched around with little to no movement.

Turbocharged is a 3yo bay gelded son of Lil King Devil – Sightseek, by Anybody Home, and he was bred by his owner, Aer Stables, in ON.  This was his second win from seven starts, his first stakes score, and he now has lifetime earnings of $113.000.

Two Buck Chuck is a bay 3yo gelding by Arian – Danzig Farley, by C J Farley, and he was bred by Greeko Holdem in FLA.  He was acquired via the claim box for just $35.000 prior to this start, so they see immediate returns on a smart tag.  This was his third win from eight starts and he has a lifetime bankroll of $75.240.

Turbocharged broke alertly, tracked the pace throughout, up late to land on the wire in a DH with foe.  Two Buck Chuck broke alertly from the outside post, led throughout, nailed on the wire to end in a DH.  Live To Fight showed good speed while tracking the top pair, could not go with them, good effort.  Freakin Out gave an even effort.  Sheza Hacker raced mid-pack, some late foot while no threat.  Strider, tracked the early pace, drifted back through the field, no further fight.  In The Frey gave one pace, no factor. Learning To Fly was outrun. Ginger Sand was outrun. Noding was never involved.  Big Bad Steps was outrun. Sharp Money trailed throughout.
