BEL Race #3 $150.000

NY-Bred 3YOs  122 Lbs 7-Furlongs (T)

#1 Kung Fu Fighter (D J C Racing Stables/J.J. Castellano): Rail-horse broke the maiden two-back versus $40.000 MCL at PRX before trying winners for the first time last out.  Ran a respectable 3rd, beaten only a half-length that day in a $61.20 starter allowance at CD.  Tries turf and black type for the first time here, but he’s trending in the right direction going into his eighth start.

#2 Drone Strike (D J C Racing Stables/M. Franco): Hails from the same barn as the rail-horse; however, this one tote better credentials.  Bested the group assembled for the $100.000 Murphy last month at PIM and enters a winner in three of his last four.  Retains the pilot’s services from last engagement and seems to be sitting on all systems go for this assignment.

#3 Bora Sin (Arindel/J.R. Velazquez): Colt has yet to run poorly in six starts to begin his career and started ’23 the same way he ended ’22, with a win.  Has yet to try the grass, but he’s been competitive against similar types on the main track.  Gets the services of one of the game’s best for this assignment, and he worked a competitive time in that 6f turf move earlier this week.

#4 Momentary (Mo Mentum Farm/J. Lezcano): Gelding hasn’t missed many opportunities, as he’s making the 13th start of his career in this one.  Hasn’t faced the best of company; however, he has won four of those previous twelve tries.  He has proven turf form, and he’s won three of four; however, the water gets noticeably deeper here.

Final Analysis: We’ll play a straight 2-4 and hope for the best.  Good luck to all involved in the NY Stallion Series-Bid!
