Eight Ready for The Fisher Debutante

The Fisher Debutante – NG
8/18/19
ELP Race 8 7F – Dirt
Purse $100.000
Two Year Olds Fillies

A good field of eight juvenile fillies have been entered up for this running of the Fisher Debutante here at Ellis Park. All of these have at least won and have a couple races under their belt. Let’s take a look at the field.

1. Beyond Sexy (2-1-0-0 $18.000), trained by LionKing Stables

The first filly in the field right here is coming into this race off of a maiden score at Golden Gate way back in May. She won by a nose that day but has not been seen since. She has been steady on the work tab though and she should be ready for this race.

2. Risen Day (3-1-0-1 $49.000), trained by Fractious

The next filly is coming into this race off of a third place finish in the Debutante at Churchill in late June. She ran a very good race that day and if she could run like that in this spot she will be very tough to beat. She is my top choice.

3. Local Lass (3-1-1-0 $71.000), trained by D J C Racing Stables

Another one that is coming out of stakes company right here but this filly ran second in a New York bred stakes race at Saratoga. She ran very well that day also and she looks to be tough in this spot if she can run a race like that.

4. Peachy Jake (2-1-0-0 $15.600), trained by Nolespan Racing

Here is a filly coming in from a win in a New Mexico bred maiden special weight over two months ago. She ran a good race that day and showed some early speed in there. She will be stretching out in here so she will have to carry that speed a lot farther.

5. Mi Negra Carol (3-1-0-0 $0.000), trained by Hda Yazhayz

And the next filly will be making her first start since a seventh place finish in the Debutante at Churchill. She dropped very far back that day and made up a decent amount of ground late. The works aren’t all that impressive but the extra distance will help out a bit.

6. Crack Joint (3-1-0-0 $39.000), trained by Gdp Inc

Now to this filly who is coming into this race out of the grade three Schuylerville where she finished eighth. She was very far back that day and came running well late at least. The extra furlong will definitely help her out. She has a good chance.

7. Good Reports (2-2-0-0 $29.400), trained by Estero Farms

The only undefeated filly in the field right here and she will be making her first start for her new trainer. She won an allowance race on the slop at Louisiana Downs about two months ago and now makes her stakes debut. She has not done anything wrong so far.

8. Scoreearlyandoften (3-1-0-0 $37.000), trained by Night Rider Stables

And the final filly in the race here and she is entering this race off of a win in a maiden claiming race at Saratoga. She won by a nose that day but she showed some heart to hold on. I think she could have an outsider chance to win this.

Summary

A pretty good field for this race and quite a few of them wouldn’t surprise me if they won. My top pick is going to be Risen Day off of that third in the Debutante and right behind her I have Crack Joint. Good luck to all in the field.
