1st El Gran Black, trained by Luz International
After a prolonged campaign on turf his trainer must be doing some head slapping after this four year old made it two from two on the dirt this season with a game win. Leading at an average pace he was always travelling sweetly and although the weight allowance may have been the thing that won it for him he did it gamely enough to suggest he is capable of even better.

2nd Dogs Infowarrior, trained by John Henry
This was a brave effort by the top weight who stalked the leader and kept worrying him all the way to the line. It could have been the impost that stopped him getting to the leader but this was certainly a good day for this highly inconsistent six year old who is impossible to write off in any race.

3rd Copper Conduit, trained by Threshold
Dropped back off the pace and made up some ground but never really looked like getting to the first two.

4th Fly Millennium, trained by Blushing Meadows
This was a very disappointing effort by the four year old who didnt end up finishing with his usual flurry after being taken back to the trail. Like Copper Conduit he made up some ground but the race was over before he got into it.
