The WV Juvenile Purse $75
7 Furlongs on Dirt for Two Year Olds Bred in WV
Charles Town Race Course, Charles Town West Virginia
–El Pistola from T Boy Racing would not give up the chase and ran a real gutsy race to get up in the final stride after John Nine Thirty Two had opened up a cushion entering the stretch drive and looked gone. El Pistola won the WV Juvenile in front of a large Saturday evening crowd. Congrats to the winning connections. The aforementioned John Nine Thirty Two from Panionios Racing was seeking his fourth straight victory party to begin his career but instead was handed his first taste of defeat and will have to postpone his fourth victory party for now. Prince Bodhi from Hammelot Farm sat behind rivals and came on with solid late energy to finish about a length back from the top pair at the wire in a solid performance. Tipsy Ned from The Sidley Stud sat a good tracking trip the whole way but then tired but did manage to hang on for the last spot in the superfecta.
Of The Rest;
Midnight Caller, also from Hammelot Farm shot out of the barrier and took command tonight, but tired soon after the half way point and backed up finishing fifth.
Rowdy, also from Hammelot Farm sat at the back of the field in seventh place, started to gain a little ground and passed one tired rival at the halfway point, but that’s where his energy stopped and he finished sixth.
Vinny Rocks, also from The Sidley Stud broke well enough, sat a good tracking trip and then tired while backing out of it to finish last as the longest price on the tote.
