Empire World Sails Home in Colors at CD

  7  CD    Colors (GIII)

$125.000   4yo&Up F&M        6f Dirt       122 lbs +penalties

Maxmillion Farms’ Empire World made a big move on the far turn, hit the front turning for home and cruised under the wire by two, taking Saturday’s Colors (GIII) by two lengths, getting the six furlong sprint in a spry 1:083.  Truly Deeply Madly, conditioned by Jive Inc., closed from the back of the pack but had to settle for the second spot,  a length better than Mb Stables’ Diamond Dealer.  Long-shot Rising Storm took the minor money in a race that was only five lengths from front to back.

Empire World is a 4yo bay filly by Neon Wolf – Origami, by Engine Failure, and she was bred by Smokey Stover in Fla.  This was her seventh win from fifteen starts, her first win of the ’21 season, and she now has lifetime earnings of $518.120.  When this filly gets on a roll, she can win a bunch, so keep an eye on her.  Congrats to the connections!

Empire World lacked early interest, moved up far turn, found inside seam, kicked clear furlong marker, won driving.  Truly Deeply Madly taken far off of the pace, continued to trail into the lane, asked, responded inside, best foot too late.  Diamond Dealer good early speed between horses, stayed on well, out-kicked.  Rising Storm broke well then settled back to mid-pack, fanned drive, out-finished.  City Of Soul sent from gate, secured rail, on or near pace to the furlong marker, headed, tired.  Precise Havoc was never a threat.  Cp She Zero Good early speed 3p, pressed, faltered entering lane.
