Eutectoid Point Looks for Win Number Four in Star Shoot

Just one of two Ontario bred fillies in this field of five, looks to bounce back from her defeat in the Gr. III Honeybee which she lead up until the top of the stretch, and then slipping four back at the wire.

The disappointing ninth place finish in that event was not what her trainer Second Chance Farms was focused on when she was entered. Was most likely hoping to gain some nice KYO points for May, and use that as a springboard for the rest of the season. Mind you, she did enter that affair with three straight victories, her maiden win, an Alw31s event and finally capturing the Martha Washington and ten KYO points. Her maiden victory did come over this surface at todays distance, and Garcia should have her well placed once again.

Two who I think will be her closest competitors at the wire should be Make You Blush ( Rampage Stables ) and Commanding Lady ( Estero Farms ). For the rail entry, she opened the season just two lengths back in the Gr. III Forward Gal Stakes, then returned for the $100 Bourbonette with hopes of success, but closed to within two once again. If she can stay in a stalking position till the lane, she could put in a brilliant late run. Enrico DaSilva is always hungry at the start of WO, so watch for some sparks. Commanding Lady has sire Commanding on her dams side, and he has been know to produce some top foals. While she has been lightly raced with just four starts, this season already looks promising with her Maiden win at the Fairgrounds, then just missing by a head in a photo finish in the $200.000 SUN Oaks. Gained twenty KYO points with that finish, and deserves the respect earned. The shortening up in distance after her last two is interesting, but she can definitely stay active early in this one.

The final two entries in this affair are both Fifi Trixiebell ( First Street Stables ) and Miss Ideal Phooey (Childs Play ). As for Fifi Trixiebell, she finally got her maiden win down in Florida last time out. Making a strong move here stepping into the Stakes ring. Did do quite well over this oval last season against tougher allowance company, and this distance should be to her liking. With Miss Ideal Phooey, she attempted the ATBA Fall Sales Stakes for fillies to close out last season for her previous owners placing third. Since the switch to her new interests, she has undergone some equipment and medicinal changes, and has been in against some quick six furlong times. Wilson is no slouch on the dirt, and if she had a little higher SRF numbers, I would definitely consider her more.
