A group of eleven quality female turf sprinters will lining up at Kentucky Downs to race on probably the most unique track in the United States. Most of these are coming out of stakes and graded stakes and a lot are coming out of the same races. Let’s take a look at the field of these female turf sprinters.

1. Morning Tea (10-2-3-1 $112.360), trained by Mb Stables

The first of two that are coming from the barn of Mb Stables is this three year old filly who is will be cutting back in distance and coming out of the grade one Beverly D. She did not run very good that day but maybe she will like this shorter distance and run a big one. She will have to run huge to win though.

2. Double The Pink (11-4-2-1 $107.640), trained by Gdp Inc

Here is a filly who is coming out of the Caress at Saratoga and she ran fifth that day but I’m guessing she didn’t love the soft turf course. She did win before that going the same distance of six and a half furlongs at Woodbine in an allowance race. If the turf is firm she will have a decent shot.

3. City Life (11-5-3-1 $276.590), trained by Mb Stables

And now we come to the second horse out of the barn of Mb Stables and she is also coming out of the Caress at Saratoga like Double The Pink. She did like the soft turf course the had that day as she was the winner of that race. I think she will like this distance and course and run another big race.

4. Bo On The Go (17-3-2-2 $50.860), trained by Chili King Stables

Here is the only horse in the field not coming out of a stakes race and also she has earned the least amount of money out of all of them. Chili King has done very good after claiming her for five bucks earlier on this year. I just don’t see her getting a win though because I think she is outclassed.

5. Easy Spin (21-3-2-6 $214.680), trained by D J C Racing Stables

Here is a filly who is coming out of the grade two Royal North like a couple of the others in this race. She didn’t run good at all that day and ended up getting beat and ran tenth that day. The time before that though she won a grade three at Belmont going seven furlongs on the turf and that race gives her a chance.

6. Apricot (11-4-1-1 $150.610), trained by Team 7 Illusions

Another filly that is coming out of the grade two Royal North but unlike Easy Spin she ran pretty good and ended up finishing third. She came from pretty far back that day and was rolling late but just couldn’t get up in time. She is going to get an extra half a furlong in here so that will help her out.

7. Miss Darna (18-4-2-4 $522.020), trained by Maxmillion Farm

Here is a horse that is coming out of two turn route races on the turf and is how cutting back to sprinting. She has done most of her best work going king so not sure how she will like this distance. Maybe it’s what she wants to do but I don’t think it is. She does have the best turf trainer in the game though.

8. Falesia (9-5-1-1 $195.210), trained by Smokey Stover

And another one coming out of the Royal North but this one was the winner of that race. She has really come around in her last couple of races for sure and she is getting better every race I think. If she runs like she has been and keeps getting better she will be pretty tough to beat in this spot.

9. Balais Bruit (30-13-7-3 $835.510), trained by Drabfantasy

Once again another horse coming out of the Royal North at Woodbine and this one ran sixth in that race. The race before that she won a grade two at Santa Anita on the downhill turf course and that day she won and went gate to wire which is very hard to do. She is going to be tough if she runs like that day.

10. Simply Great (20-4-5-1 $197.960), trained by TwinTowers Racing

Here is another shortening up in distance from route races and she hasn’t been running to great with stakes company. She ran in a stakes race last time at Saratoga and didn’t run too good but then again the track was soft so I guess she may have an excuse. I don’t see it happening though.

11. Canadian Folk (19-9-2-2 $629.500), trained by Team 7 Illusions

Finally we come to the last one in the field and she is another who is coming out of that Royal North at Woodbine. She was the front runner most of the way that day until finally hitting the bricks late to run seventh. She can win this race but everything is going to have to go her way for her to win.

Summary

Well I think this race is pretty evenly matched for sure because I don’t see a standout in this field at all. I’m going to go with the wildcard from the barn of Drabfantasy because I know he spots his runners good and always has them ready to go. Of course I may be wrong but that’s who I’ll go with.
