1st Nitemare, trained by D J C Racing Stables

Finally this horse got back to winning ways in here as I thought he had a very good chance to do. He was coming into this race on some class relief I thought and I think that may be true. He came from next to last to get the money and he won by half of a length. He ran in 1:46.03 and earned $150.000 for the win.

2nd Lucky Phooey, trained by Estero Farms

This horse ran pretty good also and he ran a winning race I thought. Only getting beat by half a length to a pretty good horse. He sat in third most of the way but just could not hold off the winner late. He will get a win in one of these grades stakes races eventually and I think it will be very soon.

3rd Xmas Snow, trained by Maxmillion Farm

Well this horse also ran very good again also. He tried to win his second graded stakes race in a row here at Del Mar. He stalked the pace in second most of the way and was even in front for a little bit. He eventually just couldn’t hold off the charge of the top two but he still ran very good to run third.

4th Return On Investment, trained by D J C Racing Stables

Well the stablemate of the winner right here and this horse also ran pretty good I thought. He went to the lead and tried to set the pace and hold on to the lead the whole way but that just didn’t happen. He folded up but didn’t quit at all and ended up only getting beat by a length in the end.

Summary

Well Nitemare finally got the money again and he ran really good in this race. He finally found that field he could beat and he did it pretty nicely too. The ones that ran right behind ran very good races also and the top three were only separated by half of a length. Congratulations to D J C Racing Stables and Nitemare.
