Fatal Dream broke mid pack to be fifth early by four lengths. As the field hit the ¾ mile pole he was fourth by four. With a 1/8 of a mile to go he was now third by a neck, and rallied on to get up to win by a nose. He covered the mile and an eighth in 1:48.03 which is the fastest time this race has ever been run in. He picked up $120.000 for his owner GlueFactory. He was one of the longest shots on the board returning $61.300 for win.
In Control which went off as the favorite at 3/1, finished second today. He broke towards the back of the pack, just like we all expected. He came flying in the stretch, but could not out run Fatal Dream. He finished second for owner Mb Stables and collected $48.000 for the run.
Stonecold-DH broke out of the gate to be sixth by four lengths. At the ¾ of a mile he started to rally. He came on strong in the last 1/8 of a mile to finish in a dead heat with the 8 horse. He is owned by Waldo and picked up $16.000 for the run.
Skeleton Balle-DH was eighth in the opening ½ mile, and fell to ninth at the ¾ of a mile. He started to rally coming into the 1/8 of mile. He rallied on to finish in a dead heat for third and picked up $16.000 for owner Mb Stables.
Steel Suited broke out nicely to be third in the early going by two lengths. He rallied to be second by two lengths at the ¾ mile. With 3 furlongs to go, he started to tire and went on to finish fifth for owner Mb Stables.
Gma Is My Hero out of the gate he was mid pack to be seventh. He was able to rally up to second by a head with a furlong to go. In the final furlong he tired to finish sixth.
Kingslayer broke out of the gate from far post number 12. He went right to the lead, where he opened up on the lead by two lengths. He opened the half mile in :46 2/5, and the ¾ mile in 1:10 1/5. He still had the lead by a head into the mile with a time of 1:35 1/5. Into the final furlong he faded to finish seventh for owner Double J Stables.
Conquest was off and racing in eleventh in the early going. He made a move towards the front, but his effort was not enough to go on to finish eighth for owner D J C Racing Stables.
Elektrant got out last in the field of 12 and shuffled back about eight lengths. He rallied slightly at the mile to get up to ninth where he would finish for connections Miata Farm.
Hey Senor did not fare well today, as he broke slowly to be pushed back to tenth. Then at the ¾ mile he was eleventh, and last at the mile. In the final 1/8 of a mile he rallied to get up to finish tenth.
Pink Devil showed some early speed to be second by two lengths at the opening half mile. By the ¾ of a mile he was not running in third about three lengths off. As the field started to head for home he faded to go on to finish eleventh.
Christmas Damsel was another one that showed early speed, but steady quick, and faded fast to go on to finish twelfth for owner Mb Stables.
