The Card hands out what should have been a tasty exacta, with a near 18/1 shot on top, but it’s HRP and the payoffs are always wacky. It was a big day of stakes action here in Louisville and Mb Stables takes the Regret (GIII) as Firewall uses her speed to buy this talented group, scoring by a half length while stopping the clock at 1:46.06 on the firm turf course. This was her fourth win from eight lifetime starts, her second win of the ’26 season, and she now shows a total bank of $434.20. Congrats to the Connections!
Noble Parry, from the Nakamura Stables, closed a gap down the lane but couldn’t get to the winner while taking the second spot, a length better than the winner’s stable-mate, Savvy Instinct, in third. It was the same distance to Diablo Diablo’s Shot Of Summer getting the minor share of the $275.00 purse. Six went to post, covered by four lengths, and there were no scratches.
