WO Race #3 $200.000

F&M 3+ 119/123 Lbs (plus penalties) 11/8 (T)

Track Record-1:43.91 (Bronze Sabre-2010)

Stakes Record-1:44.93 (Fine Prophecy-2011)

#1 Stellar Agent (Night Rider Stables/G. Boulanger 123): 4yo should be set up for a busy fall as she’s only run four times this season.  Been in the exacta in each of her last two and gets the coveted rail here.  Should save all of the ground and will just need some traffic help coming down the lane.

#2 Along Comes Mary (Maxmillion Farm/J.R. Velazquez 123): Claimed for $32.000 last out, 4yo goes straight to the deep end for the new barn.  Hasn’t been ITM since November; however, she catches a short field (that will probably reduce more) here and should sit a good trip.

#3 Proud Eights (Mb Stables/R.M. Hernandez 127): G1 winner in May gets taxed at the scales here and it would be an absolute shocker if she were to stay in the field.  Should she run, it’s hard to get past the weight concession regardless of her obvious greatness.

#4 Zalinda (Threshold/D. Moran 123): 6yo mare is winless in a handful of starts this season, but she’s proven she can still compete at this level.  She’d probably benefit from the four staying in as it would help her late rally with another pace presence in the fold.  Regardless, she is adaptable enough to adjust to whatever her instructions ask of her.

#5 Mon Dieu (Mo Mentum Farm/A. Cedillo 119): Sophomore started off the season with a $100.000 overnight score and did defeat elders two back.  Gets caught widest, but that isn’t terrible in a five-horse field.  She figures to try to clear at least a few of these and could see herself in front or tracking from the two-path.  Either way, she should be right there when the real racing starts.

Final Analysis: We don’t think Proud Eights runs, so we’re tossing her out.  We settled on 1-4 in the G2 Canadian.  Good luck everyone!
