Second in the Matchmaker (GIII) last out while being mowed down by Rock Warrior, who came right back to win a GII at SAR last weekend.  Nice 5f bullet work over the course so she looks ready to run a big race for this sharp trainer.  She’s going to need a pace to run at and I think this race sets that up for her… she drops five pounds from that last out race so look for a big effort.

Back to back wins and she’s scored in three of her last four, not missing the board this season.  She’s been running against lesser and moves up to graded company for the first time, but it looks like the natural spot for her.  After coming from off of the pace most of her career, she showed tactical speed last out and won leading at every call.  Both of those stakes scores were at today’s distance, so you know she likes this.

Fourth over this strip in the Mabee Stakes (GII) last out, and won the Dance Smartly (GII) at WO prior to that, so she’s our high-weight in this one.  Still, she sheds a pound or two from what she has been carrying.  She loves the front end and should be able to make the lead in this one – she doesn’t like passing horses on the grass, so if she gets the lead, she may run away with it.

This 3yo filly has bounced around between sprints and two-turns, turf and dirt… and she hasn’t seen the winner’s circle since her first race of the season, back in Jan.  This is kind of a tough spot and I think she will have to run her eye-balls out to get any part of this one.
