Wide Open DMR Derby (GII) Could Go Any Way At All

1
Jack The Flipper  Running Farms  Bejarano R      4/1 122

Ran a big race to be second in the IA Derby (GIII) then came back from that to be seventh in the WV Derby (GII).  Only beaten three lengths at MNR, but his last win was back in March at TAM in their derby… do the derbies ever end?  Anyway, they move him over to the grass and I still can’t get real high on him here and would expect a minor placing to be welcomed.

 Rogue Warrior  Maxmillion Farm  Baze T C      8/1 122

Still winless in his sophomore season and it’s not exactly been roses of late.  He was second at BEL on the turf, and has been running on the green, but I’m not so sure that he has the stuff to get the win here.  Give him a shot on the tri ticket, but little more than that.

3
Foggy Vision  Sanny Village  Rosario J       5/1 122

You have to go back to Oct of his 2yo campaign to find his last trip to the winner’s circle.  Had a pair of seconds after losing his “pair” via the veterinarian, but was up-the-track at BEL last out.  Let’s write that race off to the wet footing and see if he can at least be close here today.

4
 Dwight D Eisenhower  Blushing Meadows  Trujillo E      12/1 122

Got back to the winning ways last out when he beat OptAlw horses at SAR going today’s distance.  His only other win was when he broke maiden, so it’s not exactly like he’s been rippin’ it up.  This may be a spot for him to pull an upset.

5
 Swiss Bank Account  Threshold  Castellano J J     3/1 122

He’s won two of his last three races, but that was a maiden win at CD in Apr and a last out win at AP beating N1X Alw horses.  The funny thing is, that may be enough to get the job done here today.  He certainly isn’t a fan of a wet track so he’s hoping for firm grass and a pace to run at.
