Anoush Command sure does know how to put money in the bank… for the third time since being purchased back in Feb, and the first time on the lawn, the black colt had his picture taken and adds the HOL Derby (GI) to his accolades.  He got the mile and an eighth in 1:45.18 on the firm DMR turf course.  Winchester was forwardly placed and ran a big race, but was two length back of the winner, and a quarter length in front of Obeah Mon in third, nosing out Divos Moon Shot in fourth. 

The field loaded into the gate, placed at the far back of the infield chute and were off and running with Obeah Mon on the front end, That Funky Monkey on his inside, down to the rail for Winchester, Bellamango alongside, Anoush Command was next, Lucky Storm next to that one, then the trailing trio of Divos Moon Shot, Preservationist and Bobs Ticket. 

On to the main track and dashing off into the clubhouse turn with five and a half furlongs to run, Obeah Mon on the lead, That Funky Monkey on the rail, Lucky Storm three wide, then a gap back to the trio of Bellamango, Winchester skimming the rail, Anoush Command three wide, another length and a half to Divos Moon Shot, then Bobs Ticket and Preservationist was now the back marker.

Now around the clubhouse turn and down the backside and nearing the far turn, they moved past the three eighths pole and That Funky Monkey moved up to put a head in front, Obeah Mon right along side looking that one in the eye, a gap of two back to Winchester in the three path, Lucky Storm five wide, Bellamango between that pair and Anoush Command widest of all.  Back to the rail for Divos Moon Shot, then two more back to Bobs Ticket and Preservationist continued to trail.

Around the far turn and to the top of the lane, we had three sixteenths to run and the dash-for-cash was on… Anoush Command up on the far outside to take a half length lead, Winchester in the four path, That Funky Monkey on the rail and Obeah Mon between that pair.  Bellamango out wider trying to find running room, Divos Moon Shot along the inside, then a gap back to the trailing trio of Bobs Ticket, Lucky Storm and Preservationist.

Deep stretch and to the wire, Anoush Command drawing away from this field and hit the wire with a comfortable win.  Winchester took the place by a half length over Obeah Mon, Divos Moon Shot missing that by the slimmest of margins and taking fourth, That Funky Monkey was fifth, Bellamango sixth, Preservationist seventh, Bobs Ticket eighth and Lucky Storm closed this one out.  

Anoush Command is a 3yo black colt by Command Attention – Anoushka, by Peniaphobia, and he was bred in ON by Serenity Stables.  Privately Purchased by Fractious in Feb of this year for $950.000, he now has five wins from sixteen starts and earnings of $1,740.200.
