Galway
5 1/2 Turf Stake Purse $200.00 Fillies Three-Year-Olds. At SAR
The Galway looks like a rematch between two young lasses which dead heated for second last out in the Grade III Coronation Cup at SAR Franklymydearscarlet and Spruill. They look to be heads and shoulders over the rest of the field in their current development. If there are lasses that could upset them, I would look to Winter Kiss or lightly raced Breaking Hearts and the ever-present upset threat from TwinTowersRacing, this time Grand Concourse which will get my traditional $2.00 to place.

1 Grand Concourse TwinTowersRacing 91
Grand Concourse is highlighted in the next edition of “What the Heck Is Tommy Up To Now?” I think I’ve got it this time. He’s got this filly that’s in sharp turf route form, she had a little trouble in the Grade III Honeymoon Stakes, but otherwise OK. Thing is, a few races back she raced 5 1/2 furlongs on turf and won, so she’s undefeated on the course, and for a little icing on the cake, she once ran at 5 1/2 furlongs on dirt and won! So, she’s undefeated at 5 1/2 furlongs. Get it?
2 Winter Kiss Alydar Stables 91
Winter Kiss looked sharp winning the inaugural running of Monmouth County Stakes and that makes her three for eight as she is coming along in development. Expect her to be strong again in this event.
3 Breaking Hearts Mb Stables 90
Breaking Hearts is just getting her start and could be just about anything. With the record she has and the stable that’s supporting her, it would be no surprise to see her win today. She was auctioned off by Fractious for $14.00 and Dan got a win from her at TUP at first asking. Then after getting another win from her, she was sent to Monmouth County Stakes where she placed third. So, with only four lifetime races she is already stakes placed.
4 Solar Lady Maxmillion Farm 91
Seven starts and never out of the money for Solar Lady. Two maiden races and then nothing but stakes races for the lass. Shae has already won two Grade III races at today’s distance. It’s hard to imagine calling third in a $175.00 stakes race a disappointment, but in her last out in The Pea Patch she was 3-5 favourite and finished third. Still, she would be no surprise winning today.
5 Beef Hawk Mb Stables 92
Beef Hawk took seven races to break her maiden two races after being auctioned by Stald Gullis for $35.00. Now she jumps right into stakes racing.
6 Spruill Luz International 99
Spruill and Franklymydearscarlet met last out in the Grade III Coronation Cup at SAR and finished in a dead heat for second beaten only a neck for the win, so this is about as close a match-up as we are ever going to see here. That race and the SRF 99 are heads and shoulders over the rest of the field, so it looks like these two are going for the win and the rest of the field for third.
7 Franklymydearscarlet Big Jd Racing 99

8 Itsallinthecards Nakamura Stables 93
Itsallinthecards has been concentrating on dirt racing and arrives here on a string of back-to-back allowance dirt wins. She has tried turf three time and been in the money each time and she has yet to try a stakes race, so she is a born-again maiden.
9 Lady Jane Grey Big Jd Racing 94
Lady Jane Grey has been concentrating on dirt stakes and in ten lifetime races has near-win seconds in dirt stakes. That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with her turf racing. In fact, both of her wins have come from turf sprints at today’s distance, including a high-value KEE allowance race just three races ago.
10 Red Bone Angelos Stable 94
Red Bone, winner of four of ten, in the money eight of ten, still yet to win a stakes, but plenty of stakes checks pouring in. Her first stakes attempt was the Grade III Durante Stakes in which she finished third and missed by a head. Since then, she has been repeatedly third and fourth in stakes company, and her final prep for the race was a five-furlong turf allowance victory at LS.
11 Olympic Jkk Racing Stables 90
Olympic placed second behind Winter Kiss in the $100.00 Monmouth County Stakes last out that snapped a string she had going and was odds-on to continue.
