3 WO WO Cares Stakes
$135.000 2yoF 5f Turf 120lbs
We catch a nice field of youngster fillies in this one, and there’s no shortage of story lines, that’s for sure. The 2020 WO Cares Stakes will send them five furlongs on the turf course and I went with what will probably be the chalk, East Coast, as my top choice. She broke maiden then ran down stakes horses at MTH so this looks like another spot where she can add to her bankroll. It’s a stakes race so Mb Stables is here and Story To Tell looks like a major player. She broke maiden in a LA-bred stakes so you know she can run a little. First turf try so… there’s that. I like Prove Me Wrong a little bit as well.
Here’s The Field –
Broke maiden at first asking but finished last of twelve in the Debutante at CD. She’s been rested since that late June effort and comes back fresh. Moves from the main track to the sod and looks to get back on track here. I think she will be an outsider from the betting stand point and will need to turn it around in a big way.
Back to back wins getting her maiden win at PRX and then taking an OptAlw race at DMR and she showed grit and determination in both winning by a nose and a head… so it’s off to the stakes ranks and she could be a serious threat if she can stay on form.
Broke maiden at first asking down at LAD getting home by three-quarters of a length in fairly quick time down there in crawfish country. She’s been give 2 months between races but obviously she looked good fresh so the works seem right and she should be a big factor when they turn for home.
Got the job done in her fourth race breaking maiden down in Texas then came back to be fifth at SAR in the Bolton Landing where she was only beaten a length. She seems to like the turf so this is her spot and you always have to fear this trainer.
She was tough facing maidens, showing a second at first asking then winning her second start at CD, but she just never really got going in that Alw race at SAR. They move her to the grass looking to get her back on track here today.
Broke maiden at SAR two back and was third vs. stakes company over this track last out. She closed late in that one, so they are going to have to turn the speed up a bit to get her closer. She’s solid and has to be looked at in this one.
She’s not been a stranger to the race track, this being her sixth start. Just missed a nose on 9/5 vs. Alw horses at MTH and was seventh over that track vs. stakes company in her only bad start. She’s been right there in all of other starts so it will be interesting to see how she does here today.
Back to back wins on the turf breaking maiden on firm footing then taking the Coleen Stakes on a yielding course so she certainly looks to be a weed-eater that just wants to run. Changed hands after that race but I’d look for her to run big again today.
Broke maiden in her fourth start but she did it against LA-bred stakes company in her most recent start. She hasn’t tried the grass yet but I think you have to put her right in this middle of this one, especially with her connections.
Fifth vs. maidens then a tiring seventh vs. stakes company so it’s really hard to get on her bandwagon here today.

– Scratch –
Broke maiden in her second start and that was her first race on the turf so she seemed to take to the grass right away. Catches a bad post but she has some speed and may be able to use that to overcome and be a big factor here.
