Full Field Set to Run in The Forego

The Forego – Grade 1 – $500.000

SAR – 7 Furlongs – Dirt

For Four Year Olds And Upward

August 26, 2023

1 Training Wheels (Gdp Inc)

Last win came in March in the CAL-bred Sensational Star Stakes on the turf. Performed well on dirt two back in the MD Sprint (Grade 3) where he finished a close third. Comes from off the pace, so he’ll need a good trip, but he could have a say in the outcome.

2 Dancing Rattler (Martyparty)

Finished off the board just once this year in six starts. That came last out in the Crosby (Grade 1). He finished fourth that day but only by half a length. Before that, he finished second in the True North (Grade 2). So close so many times you just know he’s due for a win.

3 Championship Rounds (Mb Stables)

Won the Vanderbilt Handicap (Grade 1) last out in a dramatic come from behind performance. Finished behind Dancing Rattler in the True North. Looking for a rematch here and looks up to the task. Can run on the front but will most likely be well off the pace early.

4 Bigmouth Raj (Night Rider Stables)

Comes in off of back-to-back wins in an optional claimer and in the Triple Bend (Grade 2). Does his best running on or close to the pace. May not be able to stay there to the wire against these.

5 Plan To Wheel (Fractious)

Four triple-digit SRF figures in a row for this gelding that just can’t quite make it to the winner’s circle. Last win came in the Kona Stakes (Grade 3) in April. But he has put up a good fight every time he steps into the starting gate this year.

6 Rudy Is With Me (Mb Stables)

Won the Runhappy (Grade 3) in a dead heat, then followed that up with two poor performances in the True North, where he finished seventh, and the Crosby, where he finished eighth. Looking to redeem himself here, but it will be tough against these.

7 Personal Ruler (Wood Duck Stables)

Won the Harlan (Grade 3) in December and hasn’t made it back to the winner’s circle in graded company since. He did win a $29.000 allowance two starts back, all of these performances were beyond a mile. He shortens up here which may work in his favor.

8 Crush Rush (Maxmillion Farms)

Very nice optional claiming performances last two outs with a first and a second. In a tough spot to be looking for his first graded win though. Does his best running up front.

9 Electric (Angelos Stable)

Another one that’s been knocking on the door in graded company. Last win came in allowance company, but he has only finished off the board once in seven starts this year, including a second in the Kona Stakes (Grade 3). Needs to step it up a bit to get a piece of this purse.

10 Demon (Wood Duck Stables)

Two stakes wins this year for this colt, including the Nerud (Grade 2) two starts back. Last out in the Crosby (Grade 1) was the only time he finished off the board this year. And he still earned a 103 SFR for the effort. Wouldn’t count him out.

11 Neo (Arindel)

Third by a head last out in the Vanderbilt Handicap (Grade 1), his only attempt in graded company. Could be a bit outclassed in this field.

12 Sting Operation (TwinTowersRacing)

Won the San Diego Handicap (Grade 2) in his last start at 1 1/16 mile. Took the Shackleton in April at 7 furlongs, showing his versatility. Even so, this colt looks a little outclassed here.
