Two Year Olds Colts and Geldings

Well its that time of year for the biggest two days in racing for the Breeders Cup. A great lineup of races of course for this years Breeders Cup just as it is every year. Here we have fourteen entered up for the Juvenile Turf so let’s take a look at the field.

1. Deaf Capo (5-2-2-0 $126.330), trained by Asgar

The first runner we have in the field here is coming into this race off of a second place finish in the Cup and Saucer Stakes up at Woodbine. Before that he did win the OT Juvenile Turf down at Del Mar. He seems to like to come form off the pace so he will need to work out a trip from the fence.

2. Pirate Pack (5-2-1-1 $107.940), trained by Greeko Holdem

A graded stakes winner right here when he won the grade three With Anticipation at Saratoga on a soft turf course. He ran eighth in the grade three Bourbon in his last start but he was too far back that day. He does like to come from way back so the pace will need to be quick for him.

3. Stressed Out (4-2-1-1 $219.000), trained by Rampage Stable

This horse is also coming out of the same two races as the horse to his inside and he ran third in the With Anticipation and then he won the Bourbon at Keeneland. He got a perfect trip that day and won easily beating that field. His works are lightning quick and I think he has a big shot in here.

4. Graveyard (3-2-0-1 $62.380), trained by Mb Stables

The first of three for Mb Stables in the field and this runner is coming into the race off of a third place finish in the grade one Summer Stakes at Woodbine. He was closing late that day so he may need some extra ground but I think if he works out a good trip here he will have a chance.

5. Night Creature (4-2-0-0 $73.840), trained by Aer Stables

Another one that is coming into the race off of a stakes win and in his last start he won the Zuma Beach right here over the same course and distance. He seems to be a speedball though so if he can just get wrangled back enough he might be able to sit a perfect trip.

6. Lucky Storm (3-2-1-0 $70.600), trained by Arindel

This next runner in the field is coming into this race off of a good second in the grade three Pilgrim at Belmont. He was charging late that day but he just could not get there in time. The pace will probably be quicker in here so I think if he can work out a good trip he will have a chance to come late.

7. Awaiting (6-2-3-0 $147.500), trained by Chili King Stables

The first of two runners in the field here for Chili King Stables and this runner is coming into this race off of a second place finish in the grade three Bourbon at Keeneland. He likes to sit off the pace usually so he will need to work out a good trip in this big field.

8. Class Edge (5-1-1-1 $83.000), trained by Chili King Stables

Side by side for the two Chili King Stables runners and this horse is coming into this race off of a third in the six furlong grade three Futurity at Belmont. Now he is one that likes to come from the clouds pretty much so he will definitely need a quick pace to help him out.

9. Declassified (6-2-1-0 $118.000), trained by Mb Stables

The second runner in the field for Mb Stables and this one is coming out of the grade one Summer Stakes up at Woodbine where he ran a very good second. He is in a tough post though because the run to the first turn comes quick at this distance so he needs to get close to the rail and not go very wide.

10. Commanding Runner (5-2-0-1 $60.500), trained by Nj Vets

This runner here made the switch to the turf after some decent performances in stakes on the dirt and won the Armed Forces at Gulfstream to get him qualified for this race. He likes to be up close to the pace and I think with this post he will probably be forwardly placed in the early stages.

11. Ete Bay (4-1-2-0 $57.890), trained by Gdp Inc

Based on his races this horse looks like he naturally wants to come from behind and in his last start he was just way too close to the lead. Before that he was a closing second in the grade three With Anticipation. I think from this post he will drop back quickly and get the trip he needs.

12. Hollywood Estrella (4-2-0-0 $170.200), trained by Estero Farms

The winner of the very common grade three Pilgrim right here and he has definitely been a big fan of the switch to a route of ground and a switch to the turf. He is two for two on the turf and going a distance but he does have a tough post here. If he works out a trip he will be tough.

13. Eggs And Bacon (3-3-0-0 $208.500), trained by Mb Stables

The third and final runner in the field for Mb Stables and this could possibly be his best entry because this is the only undefeated runner in the field. He has passed every test thrown at him even if they are by short margins. If he works out a trip he knows how to get to the winners circle.

14. Gordon Drive (4-1-0-1 $80.320), trained by Estero Farms

Last runner in the field here and the second entry for Estero Farms and this horse ran third in the grade three Bourbon in his last start. From this post he will probably have to either go to the front or drop way back so it will be tough for him. Just a tough post to overcome for him.

15. Western Java (4-2-0-1 $57.200), trained by Nakamura Stables

Also Eligible

16. Z Dee One (4-1-2-0 $43.600), trained by Gdp Inc

Summary

Well pretty much like every race on the Breeders Cup weekend this race is stacked from top to bottom with runners. All of these are in here with a chance because they have been the best in the crop so far. My top pick is the undefeated Eggs And Bacon even with his post. Good luck to all in the field.
