Going Gone Wins With Help of Rabbit

                   The DMR Handicap- GII [BC]
                     DMR Race 4 1 3/8M- Turf
                               Purse $250.000
                       Three Year Olds and Up

1st Going Gone, trained by Team 7 Illusions

Well the horse who I did think was the first stringer for Team 7 Illusions did end up winning but he was definitely helped out by his stablemate Cherokee Charlie who was the rabbit for him opening up by at least five lengths in the early part of the race. He won the race in a time of 2:11.58 and earned $150.000.

2nd Request The Ex, trained by Sharis Stables

Well this deep closer was very fortunate to get the rabbit situation in this race because he needed a very quick pace. He got it and flew from way back to end up running second and he only got beat by a head in the end. He ran very good and ran a winning race but was just unlucky to win.

3rd Bring The Pain, trained by Mb Stables

Another one who was helped out a lot by the rabbit he closed from thirteen lengths back to end up running third and he only got beat by half of a length for the win. He ran a very big race and if this race was a mile and a half he might have won. He will very good next out also I would bet.

4th War Scent, trained by Our Athletes

Here’s one who was hurt from his outside post and because he was one of the closest ones to the pace early on. He sat third and then second early on and I think it hurt him because he got passed late when I think the fractions started to hit him. He still ran pretty good regardless though.

Summary

Now while Going Gone won the race I don’t think it was very impressive because he got so much help from his stablemate who was the rabbit in this mile and three eighths race. It’s not against the rules but it’s also a tactic most people do not like. Congratulations to Team 7 Illusions and Going Gone.
