The holiday coverage continues, and we look at graded races for 12/28/25…

  9   SA     Frankel Stakes (GIII)

$100.000         3yo&Up F&M    1 1/8m  Turf  3yo 122lbs Older 124lbs +penalties         

I find it absolutely alarming that we could only muster a field of five for Sunday’s Frankel Stakes (GIII), a mile and an eighth turf test for older fillies and mares… a sign of the time?  When Mb is away, the fields shrink?  Either way, it’s not good…  It presents a race where a bunch will be looking to get the train back on the tracks, and that makes for interesting scenarios.

I’m going with a single selection for this race and will put Sannys Legacy on top… a member that is missed every single day, his namesake has struggled in her last four starts, but she has been facing some of the best in those races, and may find this a bit easier, and gets a weight advantage of 2-4 pounds.  She won over this course, and it was wet for that race… we could see that again today, and that could be a couple of solid reasons to plunk a few dollars down on a heart-felt selections. 

Many of the others come into this one with a look for moving back into form… and One Spirit could be the most logical choice to get that done… don’t leave her off of your tickets.
