1st Green Rush, trained by Pennsville Farm

Well I’ll be honest this was a rather surprising winner right here to me anyways. He stalked the pace in the early stages and then just grinded it out down the stretch to get up and win by a head. He ran the distance in 1:32.94 and earned $120.000 for the win.

2nd Duke Or Earl, trained by Gdp Inc

I thought that this horse was going to get the win in here for the second year in a row but he just could not get by the winner. He was far back early on and he made a big run down the stretch and he was coming late but he could go by. He still ran very well for second though.

3rd Banshee Star, trained by Joseph Racing

A nice run from this horse here as he tried to take this field wire to wire and he did a good job at trying anyways. He led the field for most of the way and he set pretty solid fractions. He ran very well to keep running so he could hang on for third.

4th Nice Dive, trained by Threshold

A tough trip for this horse here as he was in a good spot early on and then he fell back to last with a quarter mile to go. He did make a very good rally to come back and get fourth and he was only beaten a length when it was all said and done.

Summary

A very surprising winner in this field to me as I didn’t really see the winner being too much of a factor in here. His trainer had him ready to go though and he ran the biggest race of his career. Congratulations to Green Rush and Pennsville Farm.
