Racing for Broken Spoke Stables (trainer/owner) and expertly guided by E. Lajitas broke alertly and established the early lead, with Hallstrom tracking closely in second. Solar Kalishian settled into third while Eyes Of Felina raced fourth. La Good Rain was fifth and Snacks And Facts trailed the compact field through the opening stages.

Lajitas continued to dictate the pace after the opening quarter, but Hallstrom steadily closed the gap and moved into striking position. Solar Kalishian maintained third while Snacks And Facts began improving from the back of the field. Eyes Of Felina lost ground approaching the stretch, and La Good Rain remained at the rear.
