High Pride is Another Winner on a Huge Day for Mb Stables

The Brooklyn – Grade II
1 1/2 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $400.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st High Pride, trained by Mb Stables
It was all about the centre track today which for the first time for a very long time saw the outside gates get a slight advantage. Whether HRP had been watering the rail or there was some unknown track bias it was enough to see the wider drawn horses brought into the reckoning all day and this was one of the many who took advantage of it. You couldnt knock this ones form last summer as he did win the grade one Pacific Classic but he had struggled a bit since in much lesser company since and questions were being asked. Today he answered them with the help of the track running on with all sorts of heart and determination to win by a neck. This was a big turnaround in fortune for the four year old and if he is back to his grade one winning form we could see him in contention in all the big races this year.

2nd Skeleton Balle, trained by Oval Express Farms
The BC Marathon winner ran a cracking race to be beaten just a neck in the end and i must admit i thought he would have enough to win this race. It wasnt to be however but he kept giving enough t suggest he will be a factor in the Marathon again this year of he takes his chance.

3rd Techfluence, trained by The Sidley Stud
Close up throughout he kept on gamely in a blanket finish to be third. Only beaten a half length this was a great effort.

4th Zombie Tomb Raider, trained by Night Rider Stables
Couldnt make it four wins in a row despite a time slower than his last win over this trip. A little one pace at the end it could’ve been the pace that beat him as it looks like he needs a real test of stamina to bring out his best.
