Honey got her predicted win number three on the year, but oh, what a battle! She established a lead immediately out of the gate but only a nose as Promote Violence decided to challenge her immediately and continuously so that the battle went all the way around the track and into the stretch where No Ones Comparing was closing in for the kill. This was just the kind of speed battle she needed to be effective, but as she closed in approaching the wire, Honey found something more and managed to keep her neck in front. It was a courageous race all around and establishes Honey as one of the premier older fillies and mares racing today.

2nd      No Ones Comparing          Mb Stables               5-1 (HRP) 5-2 (SRF)

For a lass which hasn’t seen a sprint in 16 races, No Ones Comparing sure had no problem with the shorter route. In fact, as a deep closer she got just what she needed, a race-long battle for the lead. She laid back in fourth a couple of lengths watching Honey and Promote Violence battle for the lead and began a challenge coming into the stretch but found Honey too tough to overtake at the wire.

Promote Violence challenged Honey for the lead immediately out of the gate and continued the battle into the stretch and weakened only slightly in the final strides allowing No Ones Comparing to get in for second.

4th      Eilonwy                             TwinTowersRacing        12-1 (HRP) 10-1 (SRF)

Eilonwy chased the leaders from third until the far turn and although closing, fell back to fourth and continued to rally to the wire where she finished fourth but only three-quarter lengths from the winner.
