Me, the Green Card, the public and the results… all on top of this one as Ice Crystal, owned by Smokey Stover and sent off as the .70/1 favorite, won The Tepin by a length in a final time of 1:33.66 for the flat mile on the CD main track.  Inquisition, the second choice by all involved, took the second spot by a quarter-length over Point Of Honor who nosed out Painville for third spot.

Ice Crystal is a 3yo chestnut filly by State Police – Ideal World, by Calling The Gods, and she was bred in NY by her owner, Smokey Stover.  This was her fifth win from eleven starts, three of those coming this season, and she now has lifetime earnings of $241.620.  Congrats to the connections.

Ice Crystal off a step slow, lagged while unhurried, asked at the top of the lane, closed full of run to clear the field late, won driving.  Inquisition tracked the pace throughout, could not hold off the winner late.  Point Of Honor sent from the gate, lead to the lane, headed, used.  Painville tracked the pace setter to the lane, out-kicked.  Erudition was never involved.
