There was an air of inevitability about this race as a fast pace ensured those in behind the speed would prevail and this one was perfectly placed. Launching down the stretch the result never looked in danger and though there was less than a length in it at the line it never really felt that he would lose. That is two grade ones in a row but now he will start to face the three year olds and it will be interesting to see if he can continue in the winning way.

I always love to see the veterans run their hearts out and this one does just that every time. Suited by the fast pace he was closing the best at the end and will need a few painkillers and an hour in the spa tonight to recover from this gallant run.

A good horse is a good horse no matter which surface it runs on and once again that was shown here as this gelding had his first ever run on turf and was only a length behind the best turf router in the game. After some in and out form on the dirt it looks like a new career beckons.

Chased a fast pace and was the only one of those on pace horses left at the end. Another great effort form this horse who will be fighting the winner again and hoping for some better luck from the draw monster next time.
