Faced with a much better draw today this son of Cherokee Sunset broke fast led all the way and held on in a hand drive to win by a length. On paper he looked the form choice and in the end this was a pretty facile win by the horse that should’ve won, a rather nice change to some of the weird results we can see in these two year old races. I think he will be equally at home on the dirt so this looks a decent prospect going forward and with his breeding lines and everything in tact i am sure he will be a valuable commodity.

2nd Material Man Angelos Stable Castellano J J

Proved once again that it doesn’t matter where and how you win previous to a stakes race you just have to have the class gene and some ability and then be given the chance. This was a big effort and although he was well held by the winner he dd really well to see off some promising types.

3rd Insilca First Flight Stable Gaffalione T

Raced from a very tough draw and did really well to run into third recording some of the best sectionals in the run for home. This home bred entire looks a good type for the small breeding yard and there looks plenty of options going forward.

4th Money Printer Go Brr Patterson Stables Rosario J

He may have been well over a 100/1 but i wasn’t surprised in the slightest that he ran into fourth today. Still a maiden i believe he may be one of the best maidens in training and it is surely only a matter of time before he breaks through with his first win.
