Individuation Tops $8,000.000 in Earnings After The GP Mile Win

The GP Mile (Grade 2)- $200.000 Purse
GP- For Four Year Olds and Upward
One Mile on the Dirt
March 2, 2024

Two big names in virtual racing went head-to-head against four other rivals, and they would have very different results. The one that would not disappoint anyone was Individuation, who went off as the post time favorite and took care of business, putting him over $8,000.000 in earnings. We had the exacta picked (not that it was an exciting exacta or anything), as we did have Individuation as well as second place finisher Lunar Victory. The other big name was Lets Celebrate, who did not beat anyone. At least his trainer won the Diarmida one race later. Individuation, meanwhile, is trained by Mb Stables and it is his second win the race (Tactical- 2020). R L Moore is the winning rider, is first. Congratulations to them! The time of the win was 1:34.12, beating the old stake record by .01. Let’s take a look at it!

(1/4 Mile- :22.93)- Galapagos heads out to the early lead for Night Rider Stables and will hold a length and a half advantage early down the backstretch. In a stalking position, we have our eventual race winner, Individuation running in the second lane for Mb Stables. Nearby on his inside is Lunar Victory, from Fractious. It’s a length to Cioppino, who runs three wide for TwinTowersRacing. Lets Celebrate (Riggins Racing) is next, and the trailer is Duppy Story (Ajm Stables).

(1/4 Mile- :46.44)- Completing the backstretch portion, Galapagos is still running on the lead, with both Individuation and Lunar Victory stalking him. However, those two would have company, as Lets Celebrate was looking pretty good at the time as he made an advance to join them. This left Cioppino by himself in fifth, and it was about two lengths to Duppy Story.

(Top of Stretch, 1.7F To Go)- Early in the turn, Individuation had all of the looks of a horse that has been one of the greats in the game and has won many races before. Gracefully, he would push forward at the top of the turn, before showing more power in his stride midway through. Just like that, entering the stretch, he had not only taken the lead, but pulled a length away from the rest of the field. This includes Lunar Victory, which would be very valuable distance gained now when considering the finish of the race. Further back, Duppy Story was looking interesting, preparing to move by both Cioppino and the laboring Lets Celebrate.

(Finish- 1:34.12)- Once in front, Individuation remained in strong stride all the way to the wire. He didn’t put anymore distance between he and Lunar Victory, but he didn’t need to, going on to win by a length. Finishing third with a strong stretch performance was Duppy Story, who may have just run out of time. Keep an eye on him to see where he ends up next. Galapagos struggled in the stretch to be fourth, beating Cioppino and Lets Celebrate.

About The Winner- Individuation, trained by Mb Stables and ridden to victory by R L Moore, is a five-year-old gelding by Jung and is out of Dawning Earl Grey. He was bred by Patterson Stables in Florida as a first quarter two-year-old, and was acquired by Mb Stables in private sales for $300.000 in December 2021. Congratulations to the connections! The win is his twelfth in 23 starts, and his ninth stake win, all of which are graded. His career earnings are now $8,085.460, the ninth highest total in HRP history.
