Infrastructure Gets Home in Appalachian

Appalachian – Grade II
1 Mile Turf Stake Purse $200.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st   Infrastructure  Our Athletes  Landeros C  1:33.47
Taken back this filly made up plenty of ground over the last two furlongs to get home by a quarter length in an impressive display of late speed. She is building nicely having won her last three and grabbed this grade two to add to the grade three Sweetest Chant that she won last time. A bargain buy at $20.000 she is an improving turf filly that will be a force throughout the season as the three’s start taking on the older fillies and mares.

2nd   Snakie Groupie  Maxmillion Farm  Bridgmohan S X  1:33.56
Thrown into the lead either by design of by the wide gate speed push she failed to last home today as is the usual with early leaders at HRP.  It remains to be seen if she is better with an inside draw but as this was only her fifth start i am pretty sure she will get a graded stakes win this year.

3rd   Crown Of Light  Estero Farms  Geroux F    1:33.57
She looked the form filly for the race after her second in the BC Juvenile turf last year  but despite a rather nice stalk position throughout she couldnt hold the winners late finish. There is clearly something missing with this filly who worked 1.34 and 3 in March, faster than most colts, and yet she is struggling to find the line in her races.

4th   Snow Helen  RNP Stables  Lanerie C J   1:33.76
The outsider of the field she ran pretty well for a horse claimed last time to finish just a length back in fourth. There will be plenty more time for this filly who looks to be on the improve.
