Was it brilliantly executed instructions that saw this horse run in the perfect spot before switching back to the rail to run home a half length winner? Well i know the trainer pretty well and i can tell you they were pleasantly surprised that things went so well for a horse that had deserved a good win at this sort of level. This was Red Parasites third win from six starts and she goes into the twilight of her juvenile season with some black type to her name.

Started odds on but the fear of the wide gate speed push was just as she never found the lead she likes so much and couldn’t dictate the pace like she likes to. She was brave to the line but didn’t have the turn of foot required to see off the late challenger.

3rd Shes A Freak Mb Stables Van Dyke D

Tried hard but could never quite get close enough to mount a race winning challenge. Whilst the winner got a dream trip on the rail she had to pull wide and her momentum was affected enough to see her end up in third a length off the winner.

4th Battle Abbey The Sidley Stud Franco G

The wide gate speed push saw her go to the front and maintain a good pace rather than a break neck one. Good paces though are hard to win from if you are at the front and sure enough she faded into fourth. Se has had a busy season and i am sure will benefit from a little break now.
