This colt by Snakie finally got some reward after a tough season taking on some of the best of his generation. Making all on a soft pace he just had enough to hang on as his legs began to tire close home winning by a nose. He is a decent enough sort and this was a good effort but he seems to be pretty exposed as far as ability goes and he may struggle if going back to the top grade.

finished strongly into second but could not lose his maiden tag today. Another yard or two may have seen a different result but for now he will probably go into his three year old campaign as one of the best maidens around.

3rd Timber Rattler John Henry Chirinos R

Stalked his stable mate but as expected the 2Lbs extra he carried is like an elephant at HRP and he couldn’t quicken under his huge burden. A good effort but one feels this is his grade.

4th Thank Helen End Run Farm Eikleberry R

Got well back as he did in his last race and though he made up plenty he never looked a danger.
