Japan in the Rain, is There Anything Better?

The Kingston
1 Mile Turf Stake Purse $125.000 Open 3 Year Olds And Up Foaled In NY

1st Japan, trained by Big Jd Racing
The stars aligned for this five year old as the rains came and he bounced back to the form we know he is capable of. Breaking slowly he took a while to get going but he was ridden out early to get to the front before the half mile and from then on he never looked in danger. This was a great win considering the weight he had to give away but class and a love for the mud won the day.

2nd Funny One, trained by Mb Stables
Smartly away he led at the first quarter but had been hauled back into a loose stalk by the half mile mark. That may have been a big error as the leader then dictated and this three year old never looked like getting back on terms. A decent effort but i wouldnt say he was loving the conditions so we will have to wait until his next run to see how good he is.

Pretty much just slopped away in the same spot for a mile. A run in these conditions is hard to judge and like his stable mate we will have to wait to see what he is really capable of.
