After knocking on the stakes-level door to end her juvenile campaign, Karloffs Monster kicked it in on Saturday in TAM’s Suncoast Stakes.  The Suncoast victory gives the winner two wins from seven starts with earnings of $161.200 and the triumph earned her 10 KYO qualifying points.

Breaking from stall seven, Karloffs Monster was able to track Hollywood Mind from the two path as that filly took the field through an opening quarter and half that went in :23.62 and :47.19, respectively.  The winner took the lead exiting the turn after running three-quarters in 1:10.99, but Cb Lady was moving with her as they both went by a tiring Hollywood Mind.

Both fillies drifted out through the lane, but Karloffs Monster was always able to keep a length of separation on her rival and struck the wire in 1:39.64.  Upstate, charging up the inside from back in the field, was able to get on even terms with Cb Lady at the wire and both fillies received the four KYO points awarded for the place.  It was another length and a half back to Chatty Cathy in fourth and that filly was followed across the wire by Hollywood Mind, Threaded, Copper Philiogist, Jessicas Secret, Chatta Code, and Sophia Florsch.

Congratulations to Karloffs Monster and her trainer, TwinTowersRacing, on their victory in the Suncoast Stakes!
