Another day, another step towards the first Saturday in May and trying to get into the starting gate… Last Centurion took a step forward as the Barcelona Farms trained gelding made it a wire-to-wire win at 14/1 odds, taking the El Camino in a final time of 1:48.08 for the mile and an eighth, scoring by a length over the Fast GG main track.  It was the third lifetime win for this one, and I’m sure we will see him again on the TC Trail.  Alive closed some ground late to take the second spot, nosing out Joachim in third.  It was another three-quarters of a length to Cop With Coffee, taking the minor money.
