Lea the 0.20-1 favorite broke nicely to be last in the four horse field by four to five lengths in the open half mile.  As the field headed to the five furlong marker she rallied, and came on strong, and Kendrick Carmouche stormed away down the stretch to win going away by four.  She covered the six and a half furlongs on the dirt course in 1:15.76 earning her connections D J C Racing Stables a check for $60.000.

True Religion who we felt should have been the second choice got away at odds of 32.75-1, and really proved she was worth the investment from the betting public.  She got out of the gate to be third by two lengths.  Eric Cancel was quick to get her to stalk the pace by the half mile.  She tried to rally on but there was no catching Lea today.  She goes on to finish second for owner Spankys Barn and earns $20.000 for the trip.

Miss Mucho Dog got out of the gate to be second by two lengths at the opening quarter.  As the field went to the half she fell back to be third and went on to finish third for owner Downwind Stables earning a check of $16.000.

First Mojo was the early pacesetter in this group of girls as she set the opening quarter in :22 3/5 and then took them to that half in :45 4/5 a 23 1/5 quarter.  As the field headed to the five furlongs marker, she was empty and didn’t have any more to give and she flattened out to finish fourth by six lengths for owner Blood Horse Stables.  She earns a check of $4.000 for today’s run.

Until next time this is Iwin signing off!
