Leaving Arizona hangs on as speed is suddenly king

LA Legacy
1 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $150.000Colt & Gelding 2 Year Olds Foaled In LA.

1st Leaving Arizona, trained by Wolfs Den
On a day when the race engine miraculously got turned on its head we saw
another horse go to the front and hold on in a desperate finish. Cruising
and clear past half way it looked like he may open up a big margin win but
he had to dig very deep in the closing stages to hold on by a nose. Bought
for just ten dollars this is the son of Copper Bottoms third win in a row
and i can see no reason that he can go again before the end of the season.

2nd Jolly Charley, trained by Asgar
Travelling in what would have been the perfect position a week ago he looked
like he would pick up the winner and very nearly did but speed held up better
today than it has for some time and he just could not get his nose in front.
He is definately improving and this was another good effort.

3rd Omega Glory, trained by Pocket Aces Racing
Flew late for third after getting a fair way back i would think he will come
into his own on a bigger track. Look for him as a three year old.

4th American Life, trained by Austalia Wide
Never really looked comfortable and was a little dissapointing in fourth.
He should improve with racing though and may even turn out to prefer the grass.

5th Quadplex
Got into a good position but couldnt mount a challenge in the stretch.

6th Cafe Nativo
Never really got on terms.

7th Burn Charley Burn
started well enough but ended up where the betting market suggested he would.
