The outside speed push certainly didn’t help this one’s cause today as he was pushed far too hard early on and was always going to struggle down the stretch. Considering the early pace, he did well to hold onto second.

I thought the fast pace would play nicely into this one’s hands today when he went back but he didn’t quicken as smartly as I expected and ended up in a closing third.

4th Blowguns Whisper Night Rider Stables McCarthy T

Maiden claimer to fourth in a stakes race is not bad progress, but he just whacked away in the end maybe suggesting he still has a little bit to go to win at this level.
