For everything I did wrong in this race, at least I got the winner right. Lillehammer, owned by Invicta Group Llc, made every call a winning one, taking The Keertana at CD by a length, getting the marathon mile and a half in 2:262. Skyhigh Haggis and Brits Calm tracked the winner all the way around, and were second and third respectively. Post-time favorite Built For Speed got the minor money.
Lillehammer is a 4yo chestnut filly by Grandeur – Phone Charger, by Commanding, and she was bred in ONT by Smokey Stover. This was her third win from sixteen starts, her first win of the ’21 season, and she now has earnings of $226.220. Congrats to the connections!

Lillehammer broke alertly, set the pace, won driving. Skyhigh Haggis tracked the pace throughout, good late kick. Brits Calm tracked the pace-setter, out-finished for the place. Built For Speed was not a factor. Mangled Priest was outrun. Nike Talk was outrun.
