WO Race #3 $250.000 11/16 Dirt

2YO Fillies 120 Lbs

Track Record-1:39.28 (One For The Road-2012)

Stakes Record-1:41.62 (Low Budget Java-2021)

Safe to say that the works from Low Budget Java were not a mirage.  After breaking her maiden in the June slop at MNR, Low Budget Java had put together a strong series of works leading-up to Saturday’s 8.5 furlong Princess Elizabeth Stakes for juvenile fillies bred in Canada.  It is always hard to determine how morning workouts will translate, but, after making-all in 1:41.62 to take down the $250.000 purse, there is no doubt that this is a serious filly.

Breaking from post six, Low Budget Java went straight to the front and established a clear two-length advantage.  Turned-out, that was as close as any of her eight rivals would get to her.  Leading through fractions of :23.50, :46.99, and 1:10.56, Low Budget Java never gave her competition a chance.  Still strong, straight, and true through the WO stretch, she hit the wire well in front of Laughing Poet and Canadian Flight who ran 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Low Budget Java (Cup Of Java o/o Low Budget Movie) is now a perfect 2-for-2 in her young career with earnings of $150.000.  If she is not on your “Watch List”, she needs to be.  Congratulations to her and her conditioner, Nakamura Stables, on their victory in the $250.000 Princess Elizabeth Stakes at WO.
