It looks like Team 7 Illusions has a heck of a filly in Mag Ol… the 3yo bay kept her perfect record just that, PERFECT, closing determinedly down the lane and drawing clear late to take the FG Oaks (GII) by a length in a final time of 1:421.  Post time favorite Hot Summer set or pressed the lead throughout this one, but just couldn’t go on with the winner in the final 150-yards, settling for the place, a neck in front of Power Walk in third as those two pressed the pace and may have done each other in.  It was another neck back to Secret Eyes in fourth.

Mag Ol is a bay 3yo filly by Materiality – Aloha, by Fluctuation, and she was bred by M.a.r. Racing in PA.  She was acquired via the claim box out of her initial outing for $8.000, and that has proven to be a wise investment.  Now three for three, the sky’s the limit for this one.  She now has earnings of $267.990.  Congrats to Team 7 Illusions.

Mag Ol raced with second flight, 3p, responded when asked, engaged leaders mid-lane, shook clear late.  Hot Summer sharp early speed, dueled with foe, headed in the lane, could not go on with winner while second best.  Power Walk away quickly, set or pressed the pace in a duel with foe, headed mid-lane, game to the wire.  Secret Eyes midpack early, wide trip while never far from the pace, evenly late.  Big Challenge in behind pace, ground saving trip, no factor.  Hint Of Rubicon wide first turn, 3p down the backstretch, drifted lane, tired.  Wild Wild Wild away well, tracked the pace to the top of the lane while moving wide for the drive, nothing left.  Sensual Eruption slow start, trailed. Brooklyn Bride off a step slow, never involved.  Five Grand Girl broke a step slow, outrun.
