Marner, a 4yo filly by Face Your Fear, utilized an excellent start en route to a dominant victory in the G1 Rodeo Drive on Saturday at SA.  As well as securing the first G1 of her career, the Mb Stables-trained filly punched her ticket to KEE when she completed the 10-furlongs in a sharp 1:58.73.  Marner is now 16-6-1-1 in her career with $479.800 in earnings.

Away beautifully from stall nine, Marner posted splits of :47.62, 1:11.12, and 1:34.55 as she toyed with her eleven rivals.  She was almost 2.5 lengths clear of Directors Chair, always her closest pursuer, as she struck the wire.  Numeric Madness utilized a late rally to earn the show as Inquisition ran on to be fourth.  Ginger Shamanism, Sweetness, Number Nine, Hawaii County, Starship Twister, Shes One Of A Kind, Glitter Bright, and Party At The Brig completed the order of finish.

Entering the G1 Rodeo Drive, Marner appeared to be the barn’s lesser entry; however, after the tour-de-force she put on at SA, she now has to be seen as a major threat in next month’s G1 BC F&M Turf.  Congratulations to Marner and Mb Stables for their G1 Rodeo Drive victory and good luck to them as they prepare for the BC!
