In the end it was the filly with the best turf sprint form that took the race, and she did it in nice style winning by a handy length at the end. This is a filly with a future, and it will be up a grade from here as she looks to regain the form that saw her close up in the BC Juvenile Sprint last year.

2nd Sometimes Sincere Asgar Salles L

The winner beat this one fairly easily, but she ran an honest race, and she certainly looks best over this sprint trip.

3rd Sincere Authority Asgar Moran D

Surprise, surprise, the wide gate went on speed and faded. A fair effort but she didn’t have the finish at the end.

4th Ginger Tulip The Sidley Stud Hernandez R M

The experiment to put this one to the turf for the first time failed as she toiled after showing early pace. I would’ve thought it would be back to the main track for her.
