Where were the punters in this one??  Mb Stables with a 17/1 and a 37/1… shabam!! You have yourself a $1,291.90 exacta… and that’s how it went in the WO Cares Stakes, a 5f turf dash for the 2yo fillies.  Prove Me Wrong lacked speed in the early goings, but knew when the money was on the line, getting home first over her stable mate, Story To Tell, by a half length in a quick time of :57.25.  Yabadabadoo was a neck back in third.  A field of eleven in this one and they finished within three lengths of each other.

Away in good order and they made the very short run to the dog leg with Yabadabadoo on the lead, Bonito Patrido Rene along side giving chase, out wider to Ultimately Flawed, inside to Dame Hero, Azurita from the far outside, Unexecuted Desire, East Coast, then back inside to Bohemian Bourbon and Prove Me Wrong, Tunted was next and Story To Tell was the early trailer.

Around the dog leg and nearing the top of the lane with give two furlong to run, Yabadabadoo with Ultimately Flawed moving up to look that one in the eye, Bonito Partido Rene right there with Azurita widest of all, back to the rial for Dame Hero, Unexecuted Desire in the middle of the track, Prove Me Wrong starting to show some interest, Bohemian Bourbon next to that one, then a gap back to the trailing trio of East Coast, Story To Tell and Tunted. 

Now inside the final sixteenth and to the finish, they were bunching up for the dash-for-cash as Prove Me Wrong powered up to stick a head in front, Yabadabadoo on her inside, Ultimately flawed out wide… a wall of horseflesh behind them and as they hit the wire Prove Me Wrong took the win by a half-length.  Story To Tell was second, a neck better than Yabadabadoo, then another half length back to Bonito Partido Rene nosing out Ultimately Flawed for the minor money.  Bohemian Bourbon was sixth, Azurita seventh, Dame Hero eighth, East Coast ninth, Tunted tenth and Unexecuted Desire closed this one out.

Prove Me Wrong is a 2yo bay filly by No Doubt About It – Chai Chai Again, by Chair Latte, and she was bred by her owner, Mb Stable here in ON.  This was her second win from five starts, her first stakes score and she now has earnings of $106.840.
