Mb Stables once more proves their girl power in The Ashland

Ashland – Grade I (P7) [KYO]
1 1/16 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $500.00 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st Peaceful Autumn, trained by Mb Stables
Such is the Mb Stables dominance of the female division his tenth string, a winner of just a maiden by a scrambled half length over six furlongs managed to turn over one of the only dangers in the upcoming KYO. On the pace from the off she went to the front and nothing could get to her. I have no idea where she fits in the stables idea of KYO runners but i am not sure she will make the race unless she burns up the gallops between now and then.

2nd Mortality, trained by John Henry
You would think a grade two winner who has recorded some of the fastest mile works of her age group could beat a maiden winner, but no it wasnt to be. Towards the rear she couldnt get to the winner but will go to the KYO as one of the few challengers to the champion trainers entries.

3rd Forgotten Past, trained by Mb Stables
The more favoured stable runner she had finished strongly in the Honeybee last time but today, ridden nearer the pace she could not quicken past her stable mate.

4th Watch Me Now, trained by Nolespan Racing
Second in a claimer last time and only beaten a length in a grade one this time. That sort of tells the tale of HRP at the moment.
