Monarchy Stays Perfect With Delaware Win

DEL Oaks – GIII
$300.00 For Fillies Three Years Old
1 1/16 Miles – Dirt
Delaware Park – June 13, 2026

Seven races. Seven wins. Perfect. That sums up Monarchy’s career to date. She has now won four Oaks races in a row against her own age and sex. She has also now won four straight graded stakes races. It makes no sense that she was let go at a ridiculous 11-1. Although she could not make her way off of the also eligible list to reach the starting gate in last weekend’s Belmont Stakes, her entry there shows that owner/breeder Mo Mentum Farm is not shying away from new challenges for this very special filly so I can’t wait to see where she turns up next.

Winner: Monarchy (Mo Mentum Farm/V. Espinoza) History/Fastidious (Freddo Cappuccino) Broke well from post four and showed her typical early speed. Was challenged early by All Or Nothing to her inside but established herself as the clear leader after the first half mile and galloped home a clear winner without facing a serious threat at any point.

Second: Exciting (Maxmillion Farm/S.X. Bridgmohan) Blaze Ahead/Furlough (Residue) Was rated towards the back of the field a few lengths off of the pacesetter and eventual winner. She was asked for run in the stretch and responded well enough to edge the rest of the field for second but did not approach the winner. Nice rebound effort after disappointing in the Kentucky Oaks.

Third: Three Sixes (Pan Farms/R. Bejarano) Cherokee Thriller/Three Sixty Five (Day Of Destiny) Settled into a nice position down the backstretch behind the two early leaders in the perfect stalking position. Competed well in the stretch but did not make headway against the winner but held on well for third. Another who rebounded well from a sub par performance in Kentucky.

Fourth: Neon Damascus (Mb Stables/J. Lezcano) Neon Drifter/Damascus Gal (Model American) Took up her customary position at the back of the pack taking her time to get into stride. When she began to move around the final turn she was moving fastest of all and was gaining to the wire but had too much ground to make up and had to settle for the final check. Also much improved from Kentucky.

Monarchy has now increased her career earnings to $1,484.25 in her seven starts. This was the first DEL Oaks win for both Mo Mentum Farm and jockey V. Espinoza.
