Ms Joyce let three other ladies battle for the lead before exploding past them all at the quarter pole on her way to a four length score in the $150.000 Floral Park at BEL on Sunday.  Hitting the wire in 1:08.01, Ms Joyce set a new stakes record for the six furlong turf sprint.  The 3yo filly has now won three of her four turf starts and has won stakes on both surfaces HRP runs on.  

Sitting in fourth about two lengths off of an opening quarter-mile in :22.89, Ms Joyce rode the rail as the trio of Feminist, Aggravated Chick, and Gaeilic Wonder contested the early lead.  Z Laffy One and Eskimo Kisses raced as a pair at the back of the six-horse field.  When Feminist and Aggravated Chick reached the quarter pole after a :45.48 half mile, Ms Joyce still needed to get by Gaeilic Wonder as well as the top two.  Sensing that she needed to make her move, Ms Joyce tipped four wide and began her advance.  After she moved past Gaeilic Wonder and set her sights on the leaders, it was only a question of how much distance she would be able to put on that pair before she hit the wire.  She assumed command as she neared the quarter pole and proceeded to draw away.  Aggravated Chick was able to hold onto the place; however, the only horse doing any real running late was the winner.  Eskimo Kisses made the place horse worry about a photo but her rally was only good enough for the show honors.

Ms Joyce improved her career mark to 19-7-1-4 with earnings of $546.500 and looks to be a player in any race she enters from this point forward.  Congratulations to her and RNP Stables for their victory in the $150.000 Floral Park at BEL.
