When the divots were finally replaced on the KEE turf course, RNP Stables’ Ms Joyce was getting her picture taken, the obligatory dead-heat photo was posted and Arindel was left wondering why the gate curse was put on them… so is life at HRP.  Ms Joyce, the post time favorite, watched the early fractions play themselves out, ranged up on the turn, taking over at the sixteenth pole and only extended that advantage to the wire, winning by two lengths in a final time of 1:02¹ for the five and a half furlongs Giants Causeway stakes.  Creepy Authority and Jessica Alba battled to final sixteenth, where the eventual winner went past, and they ended up on even terms in a dead-heat for the runner up position.  Ritmo Te Atrapara took the minor money as the fore mentioned Ruby Jaws got away poorly from the gate was not a factor in this one.

Ms Joyce is a 4yo chestnut filly by Creep Time – The Shank, by Another Gift, and she was bred by her owner, RNP Stables, in NJ.  This was her tenth win from twenty-six starts, and she now has lifetime earnings of $900.500.   Congrats to the connections!

Ms Joyce taken back after the break, began to accelerate widest of all through the turn, up to take the lead into the lane, widened.  Creepy Authority broke alertly, set the pace to the sixteenth, could not go on with the winner, dead-heat for the place.  Jessica Alba on or near the pace into the lane, late surge to dead-heat for the place.  Ritmo Te Atrapara tracked the lead into the lane, nothing left for the drive.  Ruby Jaws off slowly, never involved.
