Neither The Card nor I were even close in this one… big fields, big payoffs. Delta Farms takes the 9/2 post time favorite to the winner’s circle as Nazca Lines closes from well off of the pace to get the job done and score by a length in Sunday’s Winning Colors (GIII) at CD. The final running time was 1:09 flat over the Fast main track, here in Louisville. That’s the first win of the season for this gray 4yo filly, and she now has seven wins from seventeen starts, and earnings of $1,315.000 – great to see this one get back on-track after back to back off the board starts. Congrats to the Connections!

14/1 outsider Breath Of The Threat, from the Winning Link Stables, tracked the field from a crowded position, split horses along with the winner, and snagged the runner up share. Aliens improved in the late run to end up a neck back of that one, scoring the third place share, then another neck to a photo that showed Threshold’s Lil Sunshine nosing out Bla Bla Bla for the minor portion. Five lengths covered the field of twelve, and there were no scratches for this one.
